Biography
Who am I as a therapist, and how does that relate to your experience and potential in therapy?

I truly love being a therapist. I find it wonderfully fulfilling work, as well as a deeply meaningful and transformative process. Most people benefit enormously from the careful listening and compassionate attunement of a good therapist. Therapy is a place where all of your fears, embarrassments, longings and resentments are welcome - as well as your strengths and gifts. Learning to love and accept all of who you are is a huge part of healing. Therapy provides the space, the safety and the example of how genuine
acceptance looks and feels, and it demonstrates, little by little, how to get there.

Perhaps the most important thing to share about who I am as a therapist is what therapy with me would look like for you. First and foremost I care deeply about the unique journey each client travels. I am invested in your healing and growth, bringing my training, experience, and expertise to your concerns. At the same time, I also bring who I am to the work, including a strong capacity for healthy relatedness, clear boundaries, insight, warmth and humor. I have a ready laugh, as well as a keen ability to understand painful feelings and paradoxical truths. I am also respectful of each person's timing, allowing your sense of 'readiness' to set the pace of the work.
