She is frightened by the difference between what she really feels, and what she
'should' be feeling, and quietly worries that there is something terribly wrong...
What is a 'Lost Woman'? A Lost Woman is someone who thinks she 'should' be able to meet life's expectations easily (work, friends, family, personal goals), but who in reality feels consistently overwhelmed. She is frightened by the difference between what she really feels and what she 'should' be feeling, and quietly worries that there is something terribly wrong with her. Over time this worry can develop into a pervasive experience of self-doubt and self-criticism. Despite busy jobs and full social calendars, Lost Women often feel that they are 'failures'.
If this sounds like you, you have probably worked hard to fix it on your own. You are not alone! Most Lost Women find ways to hide their distress in order to maintain the appearance of keeping it together. Over time, however, the underlying anxieties intensify and it becomes harder to move forward with life goals.
Lost Women are disconnected from a basic sense of self-understanding and acceptance. My specialty is helping to repair this disconnect so that you can experience emotional relief and build a life that supports and reflects who you genuinely are. I call this process Coming Home , and I welcome you to try it. If this sounds relevant to you and your life, please contact me.
